Waterfall
My eyes are blown wide open, as water brushes past, clawing my eyelids away, forcefully yet gently.
I'm trapped in an infinite waterfall, an endless loop coiling into itself.
Alone in a void, black nothingness surrounding all sides, regardless of what they may be.
Thoughts fade and wash away, and turn to holes, my eyes seeing blue, with naught time to think about it.
Jets within the chaos slice through me, leaving my brain mere strands barely clinging to each other.
My wavering form drifts apart, unfolding into frayed strings that flow perfectly with the stream, and become one with it.
There is no pain. There is no fear. There never was.
But, at once, the being is complete.
A realization unto me, a fact comprehended as if it were the only thing I ever knew.
And the truth is that I never was.
